Common questions
Which areas of Panama do you work in?
Panama's countryside west of the Canal: the mountains of Altos de Campana (Yuma Mountain Community), the western shore of Gatun Lake at Arenosa, the Pacific coast at Playa Caracol in Chame, Cambutal on the Azuero Peninsula and Coco Beach near Puerto Armuelles in Chiriquí. Gatun Lake Construction can also build on your own land in this region.
Do you have homes in Panama City?
No. We don't sell or build in Panama City. Our residences and building projects are in Panama's interior: from Panamá Oeste, just west of the Bridge of the Americas, along the Pacific side of the country to Chiriquí. We do keep an office in Panama City, at Torre de las Américas in Punta Pacífica, for meetings.
Does buying a home give me residency?
Not by itself. Panama has residency programmes, some linked to real-estate investment, and their rules change. Take advice from a Panamanian immigration lawyer; Reside Panama can point you to one.
What currency is used in Panama?
The US dollar circulates as legal tender alongside the Panamanian balboa, which is pegged to it one-to-one. Property is priced in US dollars.
