What is Cambutal?

Cambutal is a small surf village on the southern tip of the Azuero Peninsula in Los Santos, where forested hills meet the Pacific. We have no residences for sale here right now, but Gatun Lake Construction has built here and can build for you.

Playa Cambutal is known for consistent surf and a laid-back village life, with yoga and surf retreats and eco-conscious lodges along the coast.

At Los Buzos Resort, Gatun Lake Construction completed an ocean-view private home using the FRESH building system — the owners describe the natural airflow through the house as one of its best features.

Can you build where you have no residences for sale?

Yes. Gatun Lake Construction designs and builds throughout Panama, on mountain, coastal, lakefront, island and sloped sites, using FRESH, prefab concrete or conventional construction depending on the project. We have already built in Altos de Campana, at Coco Beach near Puerto Armuelles and in Cambutal.

Can I view a residence from abroad?

Yes. We run live video walk-throughs of the home and the community, and send floor plans and the brochure in advance. Many buyers visit in person afterwards to finalise.
